Concerning several complex holes and the stress state on the BF shell,some related calculation formulas were deduced for the stress of BF shell under various loads.According to the BF status during early time of operation and at present,the stress values of each shell section of No 3 BF in Shanghai Baosteel were calculated by applying these formulas combined with corresponding data.
