摘要
随着我国与世界各国交流的增加,公示语的使用和英译越来越受到重视,然而目前我国公示语的翻译仍然存在一些问题。从语用失误角度出发,分析南京公示语英译错误及原因,指出公示语的翻译不仅是两种语言的转换,而且是两种文化的交流。
As the increasing communication between China and the world, the application and trans- lation of public signs has become more significant. However, there exist many errors in the C--E trans- lation of public signs. This paper aims to analyze the translation errors in Nanjing from the perspective of pragmatic failure： pragmalinguistic failure and sociopragmatic failure, and discusses the causes of these failures.
