摘要
本文研究了甲苯在纤维素乙基化过程中的影响。实验表明,甲苯能明显提高乙基化反应速度和氯乙烷的反应效率;甲苯用量对乙基化反应程度和乙氧基的分布有显著的影响。在适量甲苯存在下所得到的乙基纤维素有较低的液晶转变温度、较宽的液晶温度范围和均匀的液晶态。
The effect of toluene on ethylation of cellulose was investigated. It was found that the ethylation rate wes greatly enhanced and the efficiency of ethyl chloride was manifestly increased by the use of toluene in ethylation. It was noticed that the amount of toluene added in ethylation. not only had an influence on the degree Of ethylation, but also had a profund influence on the distribution of the ethyl groups in ethyl cellulose. It was also observed that the ethyl cellulose when produced by the use of certain amount of toluene. had good thermotropic liquid crystallinity which showed a lower liquid crystal temperature, a broad range of liquid crystal temperature and a homogeneous thermotropic liquid crystal phase.
