Twenty-two characteristics of plus trees that had been phenotypically selected in 7 natural stands of Pieca asperata. were analysed on their variation among the stands. Selection effectiveness of the characteristics was qualitatively pointed out on levels of the stands and the trees. A comprehensive evaluation of coordinates was applied to defne potentials for selection in the stands and to evaluate the 75 selected plus trees in 3 types.
