摘要
荀子重视心概念。其心包含三项内涵,即理智、欲望以及能够自由选择的意志。其中,对意志内涵的认识是荀子的独家心得,且未能融入儒家传统,导致儒家传统与现代文明的隔阂。荀子之心所具有的意志基本属性,为我们建构以意志为核心的现代人生观提供了丰富的理论资源。这也是纠正当前道德危机的灵丹妙药。
Xunzi emphasizes on the concept of mind. His concept of mind embraces three connotations, i.e. understanding, desire and the free will which is able to choose freely. Among the three connotations, the discovery of free will belongs to Xunzi sui generis and fails to be permeated into Confucian tradition, which causes the gap between Confucianism and modern civilization. Xunzi＇s discovery of the function of mind as a free will is able to provide us with ample theoretical resources in constituting the philosophy of life which centers round the free will. This is the exact remedy to solve the moral crisis.
