类胡萝卜素除作为维生素A源外 ,还具有着色、提高畜禽繁殖力及免疫调节等作用。目前类胡萝卜素在营养医药领域和畜牧生产中日益受到重视。对类胡萝卜素在动物体内的分布、吸收、代谢及其生理功能作一概要综述。
Carotenoids are used as the source of vitamin A, they also have the functions of colouring products, improving reproductive capacity and immunity of animal. Therefore, corotenoids have gradually drawn the attention of the nutritional medicine field and animal husbandry. The distribution, absorption, metabolism and physiological functions of carotenoids in animal's gut were expounded.
