摘要
：世纪之交，人类社会正在发生着巨变，也在促使教育面临着有史以来最为深刻的变革。为使我国面向 21世纪的现代化建设事业奠定坚实的人才和知识基础，教育必须坚持“三个面向”，走改革创新之路。要全面推进素质教育，深化教育体制改革，调整教育结构，加快教育信息化步伐，建设有中国特色的，充满生机与活力的社会主义教育体系。
At the turning of the 21st century, our society has been changing greatly, which makes china's education face the deepest reform. To build up the foundation of talent and knowledge for the modern development cause in the 21st century, China's education should be deeply reformed and innovated with adherence to the principle of“ three－ facing” . Quality education should be advanced, educational system should be further reformed, educational structure should be adjusted, and educational informationization should be sped up. In other words, a dynamic socialistic educational system with Chinese characteristic should be built up.
