There are many different opposite elements in Robert Frost＇ s famous poem Mending Wall, for example, oppositions between mending wall and demolishing wall, between narrator＇ s and neighbor＇ s ideas, and between narrator＇ s behavior and psy- chology. The description of the elements makes the characters vivid and the theme distinctive, thus enabling readers to be aware of the poet＇s life perception more clearly.
