摘要
西沙群岛现代滨珊瑚 1976~ 1994年生长期间 Sr含量的高精度热电离质谱测定结果表明, Sr含量随季节发生周期性的变化,并与当地同期实测海水月平均温度变化相吻合,其 Sr含量与实测海水温度相关系数为- 0.94。这 18年冬夏季极端 Sr含量与同期月温的相关系数可高达- 0.98。 Sr温度计误差小于 0.5℃。
Strontium concentrations in modern Porites coral from Xisha Islands were determined by precise thermal ionization mass spectrometry. The coral skeleton grew in the period from 1976 to 1994. The results indicate that the variability of coral Sr is periodically at annual cycles, and is in agreement with in situ measured sea surface temperature (SST). The calibration of Sr and SST with correlation coefficient r =- 0.94 has been developed at monthly sampling resolution. In addition, maximum and minimum seasonal monthly Sr and SST values were also regressed for the 18- year interval, and the correlation coefficient is- 0.98. The error of this Sr thermometer is better than 0.5℃ .
