摘要
本文介绍了智能交通系统 (ITS)的基本特点和基本功能 ,分析了国外 ITS发展的时代背景 ,介绍了美国 ITS的基本内容和国外部分最新的车载智能技术 ,分析了中国 ITS发展的基础。
The article gives an outline of the essential characters andfunctions of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and analyzes thedevelopment background of ITS at home and abroad, especially the main projectsof American ITS and overseas latest advanced on-vehicle driver aided units.The paper also makes an analysis of the traffic condition, urgency,necessaryand opportunity for China to develop her own ITS. A public transportationsystem is exemplified as a specific application of ITS in china.\;
