This paper introduces the history and present status of FRP material used on vehicle body spare parts, its compound principle, main performances and advantages compared with sheet metals, and describes in detail the two main moulding processes and characteristics of FRP material, the specific problems and solutions of FRP when used on lifting doors in Cherokee Jeeps.
