A Panoramic Overview of the Latest Developments in Metaphor and Discourse Study Abroad

摘要隐喻与话语的研究是目前应用认知语言学界研究的一大热点。本文从隐喻的认知本质及隐喻在话语中的研究意义出发,引介国外近来提出的"真实世界的隐喻研究"与"以隐喻为先导的动态话语分析框架"概念,重新梳理隐喻在话语交际中的功能性,并归纳国外如"语料库应用于隐喻与话语的分析"、"隐喻故事或情节"、"隐喻簇"等研究焦聚,同时也对国内研究现状进行了简评,预期为国内隐喻与话语的应用研究创建一个新的视角。 The relationship between metaphor and discourse has been acknowledged as one of the most heatedly-discussed themes in applied cognitive linguistics currently. The article, from the perspectives of metaphor＇ s cognitive nature and its significance in discourse studies, introduces two newly-emerged notions of ＂real-world metaphor research＂ and ＂metaphor-led dynamic discourse analysis framework＂, recalculates metaphor＇ s functions in discourse, summaries major research findings overseas such as ＂application of corpora in analyzing metaphor in discourse＂, ＂metaphorical stories or scenarios＂, ＂metaphor clusters＂, as well as overviews the status quo of such research in China, aiming to extend metaphor and discourse studies and their applications to initiate a fresh viewpoint.
