摘要
以氟锆酸盐玻璃为代表的氟化物玻璃以其从紫外到中红外极宽的透光范围,无毒及较好的物理化学性质成为最有希望的超长波段通信光纤材料。本文介绍了最近10多年来国内外氟化物玻璃和光纤的研究概况,涉及玻璃的化学组成及物理化学性质,玻璃和光纤的制造工艺,讨论了氟化物玻璃光纤中损耗的来源及降低损耗的工艺措施。
Fluoride glasses,such as fluorozir-conate glasses are characterized by a widely transparent region from near UV to middle IR, non-toxicity,good physical and chemical properties. Therefore, these glasses are the most promising low-loss optical fiber materials for long distance, repeaterless commuaication systems. This paper presents the general situation of fluoride glass and optical fiber, which involved the glass composition, physical and chemical properties, and the preparation techniques. The origins of optical losses in fluoride glass fiber are analyzed, and the technological method for reducing these losses is described.
