摘要
英语演讲是一门高超的语言艺术,同时也是综合素质的展现。将演讲活动融入英语专业口语课堂,营造了综合运用语言的交际环境,激发了英语学习的兴趣和动力,使得这一新型口语课集知识性、趣味性和挑战性于一身,有效地培养了学生的语言能力、批判性思维和心理素质。英语演讲技能已经成为当代大学生竞争力的重要体现;好的口才和演讲技能会给学生带来更多的机遇,有助于他们的职业发展。实践表明,英语演讲教学既贯彻了大学英语专业课程改革的方针,也成为培养学生国际视野、文化素养与创新能力的不可或缺的途径和手段。
Public speaking in English is a superb skill of language as well as a display of comprehensive abilities. Its integration with Oral English class has produced a delighting and challenging atmosphere to arouse students’ motivation and cultivate their competence of language,critical thinking and psychological quality. Nowadays,the competence of English public speaking has become a demonstration of students’ competitive power,enabling them to get opportunities for their future employment. The results of the survey demonstrate the significance and practical value of English public speaking.
