摘要
《世本·居篇》之说“契居蕃”，“蕃”为何地？历来众说纷纭，争论千年。然从文献、考古、金石文字众多方面考证，蕃，即是番吾，位于滹沱河南岸，在今黄壁庄水库之中。汉代蒲吾县，战国番吾城，乃商民族始祖聚居地。契之子昭明居砥石，乃泯水流域，在今元氏、高邑、临城。契之母简狄，乃有娥氏之女。新乐、无极出土过刻有“女戎”字样的商代青铜器。更为重要的是元氏西庄村出土的刻有“隹戎’’进攻柢国铭文的青铜簋，为进一步确证商民族起源滹沱河提供了有力佐证。
According to Shiben Ju,Qi,the forefather of the Shang Nationality,resided in Fan. Where was Fan？ Opinions have differed for thousands of years. Based on the textual researches from documents, archaeological studies,inscriptions on ancient bronzes and stone tablets,it is inferred that Fan,i.e. Fanwu,was located on the southern bank of Hutuo River,which is the present Huangbizhuang Reservior. Puwu County in the Han Dynasty and Puwu City in Warring States were inhabited by earliest ancestors of the Shang Dynasty. Zhaoming,the son of Qi,lived in Chishui valley,the present Yuanshi County,Gaoyi County and Lincheng County. Jiandi,the mother of Qi,was proved by the bronze ware engraved by “nv rong” unearthened in Xinle County and Wuji County. More importantly,the inscriptions of “zhui rong” unearthened in Xizhuang Villege of Yuanshi County provide convincing evidence for the confirmation of originality of the Shang Nationality.
