Online Collaborative PBL Activities Based on Role Scripts and Question Prompts: Design and Application

摘要 PBL是以问题为核心组织教学流程的一种教学方法。本研究将角色脚本、问题提示脚手架工具融入PBL在线学习活动设计中,利用设计研究的方法设计并应用PBL在线学习活动;通过前后测问卷、作品分析、访谈等方法收集多重数据来分析活动设计的有效性;数据分析结果表明,本研究所采用的任务、角色脚本及问题提示能够在PBL学习活动中促进学习者专业领域知识的获取,并帮助学习者解决PBL问题。当然,本研究中角色及问题提示脚手架设计还存在不足之处,后续研究将进行针对性改进。 PBL is a pedagogy in which students learn about a subject through the experience of problem-solving. This study uses the scaffolding tools of role script and question prompt to design online PBL activities. It adopts the approach of design research to design and implement online PBL activities. Employing the methods of pre-test and post-test questionnaire, product analysis and interview, the study demonstrates that the tasks, role scripts and question prompts involved can enable learners to acquire knowledge in their area of study by participating in the online PBL activities as well as facilitate problem-solving. Limitations related to the design of roles and question prompts are also examined and directions for further research are identified.
