摘要
长期以来,国内学术界对明太祖朱元璋的评价褒贬不一。《剑桥中国明代史》认为,朱元璋推翻元朝统治,统一全国,加强中央集权,稳定政治局势,调整生产关系,恢复发展经济,为明朝的历史发展奠定了坚实的基础。同时,该著作也指出了朱元璋在政策制定、严刑峻法及性格方面存在的一些缺陷。《剑桥中国明代史》对朱元璋的认识与评价,集中反映了西方学者独特的视野和方法,值得我们格外关注。
The evaluation of Emperor Ming taizu, Zhu Yuanzhang is quite controversial for a long time in domestic academic circles. In Volume 7 of The Cambridge History of China, The Ming Dynasty, 1368--1644, Zhu Yuanzhang united the whole nation after over- throwing the Yuan Dynasty, strengthened the centralization of authority, stabilized the society, coordinated the productive relation, and recuperated and developed economics, which lays a solid foundation to the later development of the Ming Dynasty. The book also indicates the defects on the policies, the severe laws, and Zhu＇s character. The evaluation of Zhu Yuanzhang in the book reflects the unique per- spectives and study methods which is worth paying attention to.
