摘要院校研究的核心是为高校管理和决策提供有效和可靠的信息依据。本文是一项关于美国伊利诺伊州立大学(ISU)院校研究的案例研究。ISU的实践表明,美国大学在很大程度上遵循的是数据驱动决策模型,信息是决策的依据。本文认为,ISU在复杂的内外环境下运用信息决策的基本情况对我国的院校研究有重要的启示。 The core of institutional research is to provide valid and reliable information for college management and decision making. This paper is a case study of institutional research at Illinois State U- niversity （ISU）. The practice of institutional research at ISU suggests that American universities to a large degree follow a data driven decision model, and information forms the foundation of decision mak- ing. The author holds that the practice of institutional research at ISU has significant implications for China＇ s institutional research.
