摘要
由于目前的工作流产品缺少对异构、自治、分布 (HAD)应用的支持、缺少足够的强壮性、可用性和扩展性 ,所以难以满足复杂应用环境 (如 CIMS)对工作流管理系统的要求 .网络计算和分布式对象管理的出现为我们研究、开发适应于 CIMS环境中的工作流管理系统 (WFMSs)提供了有力的技术支持 .Scope Work就是基于 CORBA软件总线的支持企业 HAD环境的新一代工作流管理系统 .本文主要讨论 Scope Work系统的体系结构 ,包括工作流建模工具、工作流使动环境和应用接口三大部分 .
Most of the available commercial workflow products lack the adequate s upport for so many advanced applications that are applied in the heterogeneous, autonomous and distributed (HAD) environment, and they also have the limited sca lability and inadequate availability for dealing with errors and failures. Emerg ence of network computing and distributed object management provides a more attr active infrastructure to research and develop workflow management systems (WFMSs ) which can satisfy advanced applications of the strict requirements. ScopeWork is a CORBA-based WFMS which can function in the HAD environment. This paper mai nly discusses the architecture of the ScopeWork, including the workflow modeling tools, workflow enactment services and the application interfaces.
