Extreme Programming(XP)model is a relatively new software engineering model. With the traditional'Waterfall'development .requirement changes are hard. XP model focuses on the adapting to the requirements change domains. This article introduces the characteristics,key rules and practices of XP model. In the end,it contrasts the XP model with traditional softwore engineering models,e. g. the 'Waterfall'etc.
