摘要
以往学界研究19世纪末20世纪初的康藏历史时主要利用汉、藏文史料,使用外文原始资料甚少,对该时期中西文化交流也仅有粗略涉及。文章在前人研究基础上,主要利用英文原始史料,对1919年前北美人士在康藏的早期活动、有关康藏论著的内容及其在西方出版发行的状况和影响进行评述,这对从全球视野的角度研究近代康藏史与中西文化交流史有重要学术意义。
In the previous studies on Khampa history from the end of the 19th century to the early 20th centu- ry, domestic scholars mainly utilized Chinese and Tibetan historical documents, while few used first-hand for- eign documents and touched on Sino-Western cultural exchange. Based on previous studies, this article, dis- cusses the papers and books on Khams and their publishing in the West written by North Americans who trav- elled and lived in Khams before 1919 by mainly using English historical documents.
