将《桃花源记》的文字翻译成英文,属于语际翻译。对该作品通过影像与绘画进行"变"、"易",用非语言符号解释语言符号,属于符际翻译。语际与符际翻译发掘了源语文本的经典性与可译性,使《桃花源记》通过多模态叙事而在异域寻求到来世,为中国文学走向世界提供了示范。
Translating The Peach Garden into English is an inter- language translation. To interpret it through image and painting is an intersemiotic translation. The interlanguage and inter- semiotic translation excavate the classics and translatability of the original text. This makes The Peach Garden find its afterlife in foreign lands by means of multi - mode narration, which provides an example for Chinese literature going to the world.
