摘要
工业生产指数是以基期的平均生产水平为 100，来测算报告期生产水平的动态相对数。 1997年国家统计局已颁布利用月度资料试算工业生产指数，用不变价格总产值计算工业发展速度的时代已不复存在了。在实际的统计操作中，可以根据指数的数值大小，通过基期来掌握报告期水平，也可根据不同时期的指数，来掌握生产活动下动态变动及其影响因素。但是，工业生产指数作为一种新生的指标体系，同样存在着优势与不足，需要不断完善。
The index of the level of industries is the estimation of the relative figures of the status of the production level in the period to be reported based on the average level as 100 in the compared period. The National Statistic Bureau promulgated that the index of industrial production should be estimated based on monthly data and the time has gone when the rate of industrial development is calculated by the gross output based on the constant price. The level of the reported period can be obtained based on the compared period depending on the value of the index. And the indexes for different periods can be used to monitor the changes under the dynamic state of production activities and their affecting factors. But the index of industrial production has some advantages and at the same time some shortcomings that have to be improved.
