摘要
英国和宁夏农民之间在土地和家畜占有量、单位面积农作物和单位家畜经营收入、农场外收入 (英国 )或非农业收入 (宁夏 )等方面都存在相当大的差距 ;宁夏农民的全部经济收入远少于英国农民 ;提高宁夏农民收入和生活质量的根本途径在于减少农民数量。
There are big differences between British and Ningxia (China) Farmers in land size and animal numbers per household and in incomes from crops and livestock as well as from off-farm activities. Farmers in China have far lower levels of income than those in the U.K. arising from crops and livestock as well as from off-farm activities, though British farmers have been suffering the worst farm crisis for the past five years. If incomes and living standards of Ningxia farmers are to increase in the future it will be important to reduce the number of farmers by creating new jobs both in cities and rural areas. It is equally important to keep the birth-control policy in urban areas and to tighten the policy in rural areas.
