摘要卡森·麦卡勒斯是20世纪美国南方重要的作家之一,处女作《心是孤独的猎手》一发表就立即震惊美国文坛。双性同体的性格是她笔下人物的一个最突出的共同点。但是现有的双性同体解读容易最后落入探寻作者生平和性格特点的窠臼中,而忽视了麦卡勒斯文学创作的初衷。如果运用怪诞视角切入文本,解构传统双性同体理论,就不难发现麦式双性同体的创造性,它是矛盾的,不确定的,流动的,富有变化的。 Carson McCullers is one of the most influential writer~ in 20th century of America. She immedi- ately made her reputation with her virgin book The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. The most spectacular fea- ture of her characters is androgyny. Yet analysis of androgyny usually falls into exploring the author＇s personal life and personality, which regards less of the motive of McCullers＇ original purpose. If taking the viewpoint of Bahktin＇s grotesque, deconstructing traditional theory of androgyny, it will take no effort to realize the creativity of McCullers, ambivalent, fluid, uncertain and changeable.
