一种新的基于UMTS和WLAN的自适应垂直切换算法

摘要 针对异构网络的特性和用户无缝连接的需求,研究了UMTS和WLAN融合架构下移动终端移入WLAN时的切换必要性和移出WLAN时切换时刻的合理性。在此基础上,综合考虑终端和网络的上下文环境,利用概率理论提出了一种新的基于补偿时间的自适应垂直切换算法。仿真结果表明:与两种切换算法相比,该算法能更加准确合理地进行切换判决,有效降低乒乓效应和切换中断概率,提升了切换效能。 According to the characteristics of heterogeneous networks and user demand for seamlessly con- nection,the necessity of switching to WLAN was researched. Considering the context of mobile terminals and networks, we propose an adaptive vertical handoff algorithm based on compensation time. The simula- tion results show that compared with two handoff algorithms, the proposed algorithm can make handoff de- cisions more effectively and accurately. The algorithm reduces the ping-pong effect and interruption proba- bility and improves the handoff performance.
