摘要
日本本田汽车公司是继美国铝业公司与加拿大铝业公司之后第三个向市场推出全铝轿车的公司。为了推广铝在汽车中的应用，世界９个铝业协会与联合体于１９９９年成立了“全球铝业协作体”。本田公司推向市场的“顿悟型”全铝轿车车身的质量仅８４２ｋｇ，比等同钢轿车的轻４０％，而其弯曲刚度及扭转刚度则分别比后者的高１３％及 ３８％，生产其零部件的一些铝材是用高新技术加工的。
Honda Motor's 'Insight'Model Car is the third all aluminium car in the world automobile market. Aluminium alloys application in the Japanese automobile has been introduced. The weight of Honda Insight is lighter 40% than Honda Civic, only about 842kg.
