摘要
从历史学的角度看民族与语言之间的关系可以帮助解释该民族语言的形成、发展中的特点。本文从马克思主义中相关民族和语言的理论作为分析的基础,对英国民族的形成与早期英语之间的关系作出客观剖析,并且指出,英国主体民族的形成就标志着英语语言的形成,部族融合民族产生对语言带来同化和异化的现象,进一步证实英国民族形成的历史就是英语语言形成的历史。
This essay, based on the Marxism on British nation and languages, analyses the relationship between the development of British nation and early English, indicates that the establishment of the English main ethnic groups marks the formation of English language and the status that the tribal fusion and nation formation make the assimilation and dissimilation of a hnguage,and further demonstates the course how British nation formed is the history of English language. Historically, so studying the relation between British nation and its language can be helpful to learn the features of its language formation and clevelopment.
