摘要
文章运用了拉康"他者"的三个辖域理论解构狄更斯《雾都孤儿》的主人公奥利弗的主体性。认为奥利弗在想象域和象征域的成长过程中受到小写他者的侵凌而逐渐消减了自我人格,又在大写他者的征唤下顺从资产阶级绅士安排彻底走上主体异化之路,最后因其内核已完全虚空而无缘进入真实域去突破他者的樊笼活出自我。实际上,这一人物塑造也是狄更斯潜意识里资产阶级价值观的体现。在这一理论视野下可以洞见本我如何受他性侵蚀而使主体虚无的过程。
This paper applies Jacques Lacan＇s theories of＂three arders＂and＂the other＂to deconstruct the subjectivity of the protagonist in Oliver Twist written by Charles Dickens.In the Imagery,the subjectivity of Oliver Twist is eroded by the other without even his consciousness.After entering the Symbolic,he further steps onto the road of alienation with response to the calling of the Other.He submits to the arrangement of bourgeois gentlemen and loses his subjectivity still unconsciously.His whole life is thus shut out from the order of the Real since he cannot rid himself of the control of＂the other＂to realize self values.This character embodies the bourgeois values underlying Dickens＇unconsciousness.Jacques Lacan＇s theories provide insight into how subject eroded by otherness is devoid of self values.
