摘要
1905年,清政府派出五大臣出洋考察,其主要使命是考察各国宪政制度,同时由于国内科举制度甫停,考察团对各国教育事业也进行了全面系统的考察。考察团归国后关于教育发展的建言,对于国内新式教育的发展提供了有益的借鉴,尤值一提的是,考察团争取到留学学额、载泽等考察政治大臣还被英国高校授予荣誉博士学位,成就了近代中外教育交流史上的一段佳话。总之,五大臣出洋考察团在近代中外教育交流史、中国教育发展史上应占有一定地位。同时亦说明,近代以来的中外关系除了侵略和反侵略主题之外,尚有正常的国家关系和文化交流之内容。
In 1905, Qing government dispatched a delegation investigating abroad which headed by five commissioners. The delegation mainly investigated the constitutional system, it also payed a lot attention to educational business.What need especially mentioned were the delegation got a chance of dispatching some students to foreign university and ZaiZe and other two commissioners got honorary doctor degree conferred by University of Oxford and University of Cambridge, which were surely worth of commemoration. The delegation gave some suggestion about education, which was necessary to the progress of Chinese education after the abolishment of KeJu and also promoted the modernization of Chinese education in a certain extent.It also showed Late Qing foreign relations consisted of normal international relations and cooperation.
