Design and Optimization of Gating System for Gear-box Housing based on the Numerical Simulation

摘要 利用铸造分析软件对变速箱箱体消失模铸造原工艺浇注系统进行模拟。初始工艺参数:浇注温度为1420℃,负压为-0.05MPa。通过观察分析模拟结果,预测了原工艺的充型时间、凝固时间以及铸件中可能存在的缩松、缩孔缺陷的分布与尺寸。针对这些缺陷设计了新的浇注系统并进行模拟。采用修改后的浇注系统,工艺参数不变,通过对金属液的充型和凝固过程的动态观察,发现新设计的浇注系统能减少缩松、缩孔缺陷。 The initial gating system of gear-box housing was simulated by finite element software. The parameters of the original process were presented as follows, pouring temperature of 1 420℃ ,negative pressure of -0.05 MPa. According to simulation results, filling time, solidification time and the distribution and size of potential shrinkage porosity in the casting were predicted. The modified gating system was designed and simulated to redure these defects. At the same processing parameters, the simulation results show that the shrinkage porosities (holes) are decreased by adopting the modified gating system.
