Objective To study the effects of solidification powder combined within daily diets in dysphagia patients after stroke. Method Thirty patients with dysphagia after stroke were andomly divided into two groups according to combine with Thicken up or not in daily diet.Outcome measures in these two groups included average eating time, body nutritional status and pulmonary infection. Result Significant differences presented in all three outcome measures between the two groups.Group with solidification powder in daily diets(group A) has a better outcome measures than the group without(group B).In addition, the caregivers of the dysphagia patients after stroke in group A are more satisfied with the outcomes than group B. Conclusion Solidification powder combined within daily diets has better outcome measures in dysphagia patients after stroke, not only in meeting the body's nutrition needs, but also in improving the patients and caregivers' satisfaction.
