Objective: To observe the therapeutic effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine on promoting flow and alleviating water retention in treatment of heart failure of chronic pneumocardial disease such as alleviating edema, improving symptoms, improving cardiac function and incidence condition of adverse reaction. Methods: 80 cases with chronic pulmonary heart disease were divided into the treatment group with 41 cases and the control cases with 39 cases. The treatment group were treated by diuretic based on conventional western medicine treatment to reduce load of heart capacity and edema. The control group were adding concentrated granule which was made by our department to promote flow and alleviate water retention. After being treated for 1 week, some indices were observed the improvement of clinical symptoms such as the function of heart, the edema and monitoring adverse reactions. Results: The clinical effects after treatment were superior to those before treatment in 2 groups. There were some reamarkable differences between 2 groups such as the clinical effect, the edema and the improvement of cardiac function.Meanwhile, there were no cases of low blood potassium in the treatment group. Conclusion: Traditional Chinese Medicine on promoting flow and alleviating water retention in treatment of heart failure of chronic pneumocardial disease has a significant effect on alleviating edema and improving cardiac function which is smooth and lasting, and it can reduce ion disorder risks and improve the quality of patients′lifes.
