摘要
在国立武昌高等师范学校编辑出版的《博物学会杂志》第一卷到第四卷 (共 4期 )上刊载的毕祖高撰写的“武昌长湖之藻类”一文是迄今所知由中国科学家研究中国标本所正式发表的淡水藻类分类学的第一篇论文 .此篇论文的发表 ,标志着中国淡水藻类的采集、调查研究和发表完全由中国人己独立承担任务并取得成绩的开始 .毕祖高是国立武昌高师博物部 1917年的毕业生 ,发表此文时 ,他是国立武昌高师附属中学的博物学教员 .
A paper titled as “Algae of the Changhu Lake, Wuchang” in the Journal of Natural Sciences Society in 1918-1921 by BI Zu\|gao is confirmed as the first published taxonomy report about Chinese freshwater algae studied by a Chinese phycologist. The appearance of BI's paper ended the historical situation of study of freshwater algae restricted in foreign experts in this country. From then on, Chinese phycologists collected and studied Chinese algae materials by themselves. BI was a graduate of Wuchang Senior Teachers College (later the Wuhan University) in 1917 and a teacher of nature sciences of a middle school when he published this article. In this paper, BI described briefly 21 genera 28 species of freshwater algae, they are Chlorophyta 10 genera 12 species, Bacillariophyta 9 genera 14 species, Euglenophyta 1 genus 1 species and Cyanophyta 1 genus 1 species.
