摘要
在苗族生命观里人死即成"鬼"。"死好"变成"好鬼",可以晋升为家神,享受供奉并在阴间担负着庇佑后人的责任;"死丑"则成为恶鬼、厉鬼,它们转化为一种危害人间的异化力量。在这样的文化生态条件下,对自杀类"死丑"的文化约束是对看不见但却危害社区人群安全的异化力量采取的文化手段。
In Miao people's view of life,death means "ghost".A person dies a "good death" will become a "good ghost" and then be promoted to a family God,who can enjoy sacrifices in the other world and shoulder the responsibility to bless the later generations.Simultaneously,those who die an "ugly death" will become catabolic forces,such as the evil spirits or spectre,which are dangerous to people.Under this kind of cultural ecology,enforcing cultural constraints to "ugly death" which results from suicide can be used as some cultural control over those invisible forces which endanger the safety of the Miao people.
