十年来,在一些重要的市场领域,后加工采用预涂基材以提高加工效率,已经不断推广。过去,要提供平板材,就要采用高投资设备,用专用涂覆机,把“湿漆”涂敷于连续的成卷带材。近年来,涂料、涂敷与烘烤诸方面技术都有重大革新,从而为基材涂装创出了费用低廉的新工艺。在过去五年中,在家用电器的“白色商品”如冰箱、微波炉的生产中,采用高可成型粉末涂技术涂敷平板材,然后把这种材料加工成这类商品的外壳。五年生产,积累了经验,并由此而把预涂/后加工方法扩大于管材、棒材的加工,用于汽车制动管、家具结构管材以及混凝土用钢筋,并因可成型粉末涂的快速固化、耐化学性、耐蚀性而获得效益。
The use of prepainted substrate for post fabrication in a range of key market sectors has grown steadily over the past decade as a route to more efficient processing.Traditionally,provision of coated flat sheet has relied upon dedicated coaters applying“wet paint”to continuous strip coil using high capital investment installations.Significant innovation in coatings technology,application and baking techniques in recent years has opened up new and cost effective processes for substrate finishing.Over the last 5 years,commercial experience has been gained using highly formable powder technology for the coating of flat sheet and subse- quent post fabrication of the material into“outer wraps”for refrigerators and microwaves in the appliance “white goods”sector.Building upon this experience,precoat/post fabrication principles have been extended to markets fabricating tube and bar in such sectors as automotive brake pipe,tubular constructions for furni- ture and concrete reinforcements,where advantage is taken from speed of cure,chemical and corrosion resis- tance of the formable powder technology.(p.19-21)
