单称使用:为NKT严格性辩护的语用条件

摘要 在批判描述论的模态论证中,克里普克提出专名具有严格性,并将这一结论类推到自然种类词项。此举引起语言哲学界的热议。克里普克式严格性有其判定标准,它预设一种关于自然种类的实在论;戴维特对克里普克式严格性做出改造,关注自然种类词项解释世界的功能。文章认为,在解释的视阈下,两种关于严格性的解释都存在语用问题;在揭示自然种类的性质之间存在关联机制,以关联机制的差异解释相近自然种类之分,则可以认为单称使用的自然种类词项具有严格性。
