摘要
意识流小说《喧哗与骚动》是美国作家福克纳的扛鼎之作,小说的语言呈现出非理性的、不受制于任何逻辑思维秩序的、支离破碎的片段式特点。这些不规范的语言给读者阅读带来了不同于传统小说的困难。但是,小说的译者李文俊在翻译该小说却尽力在内容和形式两个方面保留和体现原作的特色,做到了"译照原文",但又不是简单的把原作模糊混乱的语言死译过来,做到了"乱中有序"。文章拟从多元系统理论解释李文俊采取该翻译策略的原因,以及该翻译特点在译文中的体现。
＂The Sound and the Fury＂ is the American writer-William Faulkner＇ s master- piece. As the world famous stream of consciousness novel, the novel is recognized as one of the most successfully innovative and experimental novels. The language of the novel is irrational, il- logic and broken. The abnormal language brings a great challenge for readers to read. LI Wen- jun attemts to reserve and represent the characteristic of the original work with a loyal version. In his translation,he also makes some changes to manage the text more orderly just like the o- riginal text. The paper explores the reasons for the adoption of the translation strategy from Polysystem Theory and describes the strategy in the analysis of the text.
