Situated in the eastern part of the city of Guangzhou and at the heart of the golden delta formedby Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao, Guangzhou Development District （GDD） is the first economic development zone in China to incorporate its own administra- tive district. Based on resource integration, GDD is making strides towards becoming a rapidly-developing green ecological town, ideal for both doing business and living. Sun Xiuqing, deputy director of GDD＇s administrative committee, explains how the district has been built up in recent years.
