The adsorption properties of the loam clay towards Cu, Ni, Pb and As were studied under the laboratory conditions. From the results, the order of the adsorbabilities of the loam clay towards Cu, Ni, Pb, As and the adsorbing rate were obtained, and the chemical capacities of the four elements were caculated.
