The effects of the composition and structure of the carbon materials, which were made from different raw materials at different temperature, on the performance of aqueous Zn C secondary batteries were studied by means of the charge/discharge experiments and the elemental analysis experiments. The results show that Zn 2+ can be intercalate into the pyrolytic carbon electrode reversibly, and the carbon material made from the polyurethane resin by pyrolized at 700 ℃ performs higher specific capacity.
