摘要
霍桑的许多作品都同时充满着"原罪"和"本罪"的思想,两种思想交织、冲突在一起,体现了霍桑罪恶观的矛盾性。从《圣经》中的"原罪"与"本罪"思想出发,探析霍桑作品中"原罪"和"本罪"思想之间的交织与矛盾,进而探讨霍桑罪恶观的矛盾性。
Many of Hawthorne＇s works are embodiments of the original sin and the personal sin, the con- tradiction of which contributes to the understanding of his view on sin and crime. Based on concepts from the Bible, this paper attempts to analyze the original sin and personal sin in Hawthorne＇s works, revealing the contradictions in his view of sin and crime.
