摘要
大连走入英美人士的视野已有150年历史了,其间他们以书籍、杂志和报纸等形式发表了大量关于大连的文字。利用文本分析法,对大连城市形象进行探讨,发现不同时期的英美人士分别突出了5方面特征:现代化、西方化、布局科学、人居环境美和最具活力的满洲城市。正如其他城市形象的形成一样,大连城市形象的背后也隐藏着英美人士"本土化"的认知心态。尽管如此,大连城市形象的梳理,对今日大连社会发展和进步仍有重要借鉴意义。
One hundred and fifty years have passed since Dalian entered into Anglo-American＇ s observation, during which they published a great number of writings about Dalian in the form of books, magazines and newspapers. The research of Dalian images with the method of text analysis leads to the conclusion that Anglo-Americans in various periods highlight five images： modernization, westernization, scientific ur- ban design, excellent environment and the most vigorous Manchurian city. Like the formation of other cities＇ images, Dalian＇ s is also driven by Anglo-American＇ s localization attitude. However, to straight out Dalian＇ s city images is of significance in promoting Datian＇ s social progress today.
