摘要
张维是国内外享有盛名的力学家、工程教育家、科技活动家,中国科学院和中国工程院两院院士、瑞典皇家工程科学院外籍院士;曾任清华大学土木工程系和工程力学系主任、副教务长、副校长、工程力学研究所所长及深圳大学校长等。张维一生致力于工程教育,强调工程人才培养类型与目标的多样性、力学教育的工程实践性、通与专的辩证性等,并身体力行,积极推动我国工程力学学科建设、参与制订教学改革规划、完善师资队伍的选聘制度、加强中外工程教育界交流与合作等,对培养优秀的工程人才、促进我国工程教育的发展等产生了深远影响。
Zhang Wei is a world-renowned dynamicist, educationist and science and technology activist. He is also an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Engineering and foreign academician of IVA. He has been the former dean of the department of civil engineering and department of engineering mechanics, associate provost, vice-president, and director of Institute of engineering mechanics of Tsinghua University and headmaster of Shenzhen University. Zhang Wei devotes his whole life to engineering education. He emphasizes the variety of training types and goals in educating engineering talents, the practicality of mechanics education and dialectics between generosity and specialty. And he has always been very active in promoting the disciplinary construction of engineering mechanics, participating in formulating the teaching reform program, improving the teachers＇ hiring system and strengthening the exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries. He has greatly influenced on training engineering talents and facilitating the engineering education in China.
