Firstly, the conceptions and characters of cyberspace and electronic warfare （EW） are described and analyzed, and the role of EW in cyberspace is given. Then, the application of the EW in cyberspace is discussed, and the main potential application areas are given. Finally, the critical techniques and challenges of EW in cyberspace are summarized.
