摘要 Launched in 2002, the Human Rights magazine operates under the auspices of the China Society for Human Rights Studies, a non-governmental organization in SPECIAL consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. The magazine is the first of its kind ever published in China. While devoted to theoretical studies of human fights and human fights education, it provides a forum for dialogue between China and foreign countries on human fights-related issues. The Human Rights magazine sets for itself the task of promoting China's human fights and contributing to the development of human fights worldwide. It runs the following columns: FORUM carries speeches and articles on China's human rights situation and on major domestic or international issues related to human rights by leaders of Chinese ministries and state commissions, leaders of Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, and international VIPs. NEWS PROFILE carries in-depth reporting and comments on major human rights-related news events that have happened in China and the world.
