摘要
西部新建本科院校的发展与国家实施西部大开发和高校扩招战略相伴相随。西部新建本科院校在为地方经济社会发展提供人才和智力支持、切实为推进西部大开发服务的同时,自身也得到了发展壮大,一部分学校并由此逐渐培育起办学特色和优势,走上了科学、协调、可持续的发展道路。在新一轮西部大开发的背景下,西部新建本科院校应继续深化改革开放,加快转变发展方式,紧贴地方产业特色和优势,突出地方性和应用型,进一步巩固和增强办学特色,实现学校又好又快科学发展。
The development of the newly -established universities in the West goes along with the strategy of the West Development Project and the enrollment enlargement of higher education. The universities in the West has supported and served the local development of economy and society, meanwhile, they also have strengthened themselves. Some of them gradually have formed their own features and gained advantages and then are going on the scientific and coordinated way. Under the background of a new round of the West Development Project, the universities should further the reform and open and quicken the shift of developing ways in order to go firmly along with the local features and advantages and stand out the locality and application. Only that can the universities hold fast and promote their own features and then scientifically fast and well develop themselves.
