A questionnaire survey of 276 sttidents from China University of Petroleum Shows sociali- zing via mobile web makes college students feel more needed and respected thus giving them more psychic gratification. However, the virtuality of the cyberspace negates interpersonal trust, weakens the restraining force of morality. Students who spread information anonymously or under an alias are likely to feel even more lonely, agonized, anxious and depressed.
