直径2英寸氯化铈掺杂溴化镧晶体的制备与闪烁性能研究 被引量:11

Crystal Growth and Scintillation Properties of CeCl_3 Doped LaBr_3 Crystal with 2-inch Diameter

摘要 本文采用改进的Bridgman法,以优化的工艺成功地定向生长出了50 mm×50 mm的溴(氯)化镧(铈)晶体,即掺氯化铈的溴化镧晶体,简称LBC晶体,测量了样品的光输出、能量分辨率、闪烁时间特性等性能指标。结果表明,坩埚下降法定向生长50 mm的LBC晶体具有优异的闪烁性能,其能量分辨率为3.1%,光输出相当于NaI∶Tl晶体的156%,衰减时间为17 ns。 LaBr3 crystals doped with CeCl3 (LBC crystals for short) were grown from the melt of powders in vacuum-sealed fused silica crucibles by modified Bridgman technique. LBC crystal with the size of Ф50 mm × 50 mm and 5 mole% CeCl3 was successfully made. And X-ray excited luminescence, light yield, decay time and energy resolution of the relative samples were measured at room temperature. The results show that the LBC crystal has strong emissions peaking at 365 nm and 385 nm under X-ray excitation, and that it has also excellent scintillation properties with the energy resolution of 3.1% under γ-ray excitation of 137 Cs radioactive source, the light yield of about 156% of NaI(T1), and the decay time of 17 ns.
