A translator＇s life experience and philosophy determines his acceptance and rejection for the source text and his selec- tion for strategies. LIN Yutang, as both an excellent translator and an outstanding writer, perfectly reveals his value orientation in his English novel Moment in Peking and his translation work Six Chapters of a Floating LitE written by SHEN Fu.
